Softune Privacy Policy

Softune is a photo editor and collage maker. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: your photos stay on your device.

Your photos

Softune edits photos on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos, your edits, the text you add and the collages you make are processed on your device and saved to your own photo library. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Softune asks for access to your photo library only so you can open, edit and save photos. You can change that access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

No account

Softune has no sign-up or login, and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which features people use and to fix what doesn't work, Softune sends a small number of anonymous usage events to our analytics provider, Mixpanel. Examples are "a collage was created" or "a preset was applied". Each event can include:

• the event name and simple details such as a preset name, a layout name or a count of photos;
• a general category for an opened photo (for example "landscape" or "food"), worked out on your device; the photo itself is never sent;
• a random identifier created by the app when it is installed, which is not linked to you;
• your device model, system version, app version and the approximate city or region derived from your IP address.

We do not use this information to identify you, do not combine it with data from other companies, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising or tracking. Mixpanel processes it on our behalf under its own privacy terms (https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy).

Template likes

When you tap the heart on a template, Softune stores that like with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so it can show how many people like each template and bring your hearts back if you reinstall. What is stored is the template's name, the time of the like and the same random install identifier described above. Nothing else about you or your photos is stored. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

Purchases

Softune Pro is a yearly subscription sold and billed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. You manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Sharing

When you share a photo or collage, it goes only where you choose (for example Messages or another app), using Apple's standard share sheet.

Children

Softune is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
